Henry says The program at Soul Fire Farm is designed for young people of color. Penniman the leader of this farm teach kids about farming practices. Penniman and her husband worked with the boys and girls club and residential foster cares. Soul Fire Farm also had a week long restorative justice program. At first, the teens in the program thought working at this farm would be similar to slavery. However, Penniman says ââ¬Å"the boy s mind changed after getting into the programâ⬠. The teens were even able to take some of the food back to their homes. Soul fires farm main objective is to get people access to healthy food. Sarah Henry is a journalist who usually writes about nutrition and local foods. Her intended audience for this article are minorities interested in farming. Penniman raises a local farm with fresh foods and wants people to have access to fresh produce.
